A company vision is an aspirational goal you set out to achieve with your products and company. It’s the reason your company exists and the change you want to make in the world. Your vision is different from your personal WHY. If this is your first company, you might not know what a company vision even looks like.
My vision for TeaSquares:
“a world in which everyone can have the energy and focus to achieve their ambitious goals”
Here are a few other good examples:
A World in Which…
- Every parent can put health, nutritious food on the table for their babies
- All animal products are replaced with plant-based alternatives
- Every American household can cook Indian foods
Here’s an example of a bad vision:
- I want to sell my BBQ in Target stores.
Your vision is a signal to yourself, your employees, customers, and stakeholders as to why you exist. Having a vision allows you to set up the rest of the company in a way that can achieve that vision. Again, you have to begin with the end in mind.
